The Very North of Thailand and the Golden Triangle
With mountains and rivers, long neck Hill people the North of Thailand has some fantastic places to visit. Not to mention the ability to hop across to neighbouring Laos and Burma (Myanmar).
The Mekong river is on of the worlds major waterways with it's source in the Tibet plateau from where it flows south by south-east (well near enough) to form a delta and enter the South China Sea in Vietnam.
